Postgraduate Student Association

Supervisors

If you are having problems with your supervisor, you have come to the right place for advice. Firstly, you can go to the President of the PSA to get advice in the strictest of confidence. In many cases, the problem can be resolved with ease by the approaching your head of department. In most instances, the problems encountered by postgraduate students are not too dissimilar to problems encountered by others in the past, and very often, your departmental staff are very willing to help once the issue has been brought to their attention. If, in some cases this option is not possible for whatever reason, your next avenue is very often the Dean of Graduate Studies. Once again, the president would be happy to arrange a meeting for you, or even to mediate.
