Spot of tennis anyone??
posted 28th Mar < back to all eventsDo you want to shed a few pounds, and have some fun at the same time? Then get that old tennis racket from the attic and enter the Sports Event of the Year.
The 16th Annual UL Faculty and Staff Tennis Tournament will take place from (Thursday) 14th April to (Tuesday/Thursday) 24/26th May 2011 (TBC). Postgraduates are welcome to participate. New staff members are especially welcome.
To register please send an e-mail to gordon.lessells@ul.ie or to frederic.royall@ul.ie by 5 pm Tuesday 12th April.
All players must be available to play on Tuesdays and Thursdays (5 - 7 pm). The tournament organisers will fix the times of the doubles. Players in the singles events will organise their own round-robin matches.
You may register for the Men's, Ladies' Singles and / or Mixed Doubles competitions. (The mixed doubles is a knock-out event with partners chosen by means of a seeded draw from those entering the competition.)
€10 for one event or €15 for two events. Please indicate your level of play when registering (advanced, intermediate, beginner). Entry fees will be collected prior to playing.
Please note that, as in the past, all proceeds will be given to a local charity.
Reserved UL staff times on the tennis courts are:
Monday - Friday 1 - 2 PM
Tuesdays and Thursdays 5 - 6 PM
Saturdays 11 AM - 1 PM
