Publicity Officer

 

 

Hi Folks, I’m Padraig and I’m from Tipperary (1 in a row). I have an Honours Degree from Tipperary Institute in Software Development and worked as a Software Engineer for 5 years before this recession hit. I graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Quality Management from U.L in September and am back for another year to complete my masters. Have to say I’m enjoying being a student again but the lack of cash was a shock to the system. I’m a bit of a hurling nut but love sport in general, also love music especially live gigs with proper music not a pop fan.

As Publicity Officer I’d like try to improve on Martha’s great work last year (It’ll be a hard task). Being from a techie background I’d like to use I.T. a bit more with promotions. I think there are loads that I can do with Facebook and Twitter, so keep an eye-out for updates and Tweets. I would like to encourage students to contribute their thoughts and views to An Focal on all things U.L. related. On a final note I’d like to act as point of contact for issues through these means (Facebook, twitter etc.) and then can hopefully direct queries and issue to the correct people working with the other P.S.A Officers.
